- Ensure that the all depot operations are carried out in a safe and legal manner.
- Ensure all visiting personnel and staff carry out their duties and procedures in accordance with The Pallet Network Limited Health & Safety policy and operating documents.
- Suggest any improvements that may improve the performance and safety of the operation.
- Through effectively monitoring the management of resource and performance, ensure volumes are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensure accuracy is monitored and achieved throughout all disciplines within the operation.
- To research and understand the depots operating area to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Manage the fleet of vehicles and drivers, ensuring all compliance requirements are managed effectively and proactively.
- Promote and ensure a quality mindset in order to comply with Health and Safety legislation and Company Health and Safety procedures.
- Mentor and develop your team in order to achieve continual improvement in line with the business through the identification of personal training and development plans.
- Monitor KPI data, analyse trends with a view to continually driving operational efficiency, cost savings and customer service.
- To liaise with other areas of the business promoting good working relations to enhance company performance.
- Compile and present reports on Operational and financial performance.
- Take responsibility for day-to-day enquiries and requests for change generated from the members or other areas of the business.
- Undertake routine administration tasks as required by the business.
- Co-operate with your employer to enable any legal obligations to be complied with.
- To bring to the attention of the line manager any perceived short comings in health and safety arrangements, situations or processes that you consider to be serious, or which may present danger to you or others.
- To always be accountable for compliance to Health & Safety regulations.
- Ensure that Company property is maintained to the required level, reporting any faults, accidents or incidents to your line Manager.
- To be the depot ‘champion’ of performance and depot KPI’s.
- Take accountability for depot financial performance and improve efficiencies to maximise profitability.
- Transport management experience required.
- International/National CPC – required.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Ability to manage and work within a team.
- Sales experience with attracting new business and building relationship with customers.
- Hands on style of management.
- Understanding of a maintenance plan for all vehicles and MHE.
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external shareholders.
- Working is a high-pressure environment.
- Health and Safety knowledge.
