- Lead and manage a team of Solicitors and legal professionals, driving performance, client service and profitability
- Oversee caseload allocation and risk assessment, ensuring compliance with best practice and regulatory standards
- Appoint supervisors and delegate responsibilities effectively across the team structure
- Supervise and mentor junior colleagues in line with professional obligations and internal policies
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for service delivery and legal advice
- Report to senior management and contribute to strategic planning, department performance and policy development
- Champion content development, webinars and thought leadership in employment law
- Represent the team in business development, client pitches and marketing activities
- Support team CPD and career progression through structured planning and mentoring
- Independently manage complex employment matters, including high-value and sensitive cases
- Handle and resolve client complaints where necessary with professionalism and attention to detail
- Qualified Solicitor with extensive experience in Employment Law
- A solid background in leading or supervising a legal team, with excellent mentoring and people management skills
- Demonstrable experience in client relationship management and stakeholder engagement
- A strategic approach to business development with a history of identifying and securing new opportunities
- Confidence in handling high-value, complex employment law cases
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-performing legal environment
- Experience across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters (desirable but not essential)
