The Role:Deliver engaging lessons to students aged 13–21 with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needsTeach a flexible timetable across subjects such as PSHE, Life Skills, and core subjects (or specialism)Plan, adapt, and deliver personalised learning for pupils with EHCPs and varying ability levelsBuild strong, consistent relationships with students who have experienced trauma or disruptionSupport students in developing emotional regulation, confidence, and key life skillsWork closely with support staff, SENCOs, and therapeutic teamsThe Setting:Specialist SEMH provision for secondary and post-16 learnersSmall class sizes and high support ratioTherapeutic, trauma-informed environmentFocus on emotional wellbeing, re-engagement in learning, and preparation for adulthoodIdeal Candidate:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or relevant post-16 teaching qualificationExperience working in SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision (desirable but not essential)Strong classroom management and behaviour support skillsPassionate about inclusive education and supporting vulnerable learnersCalm, resilient, and empathetic approachEnhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)Why Work with Teaching Personnel?Access to exclusive SEMH teaching rolesSupport from a dedicated consultant who understands specialist provisionsFlexible roles with opportunities for long-term workCPD opportunities in trauma-informed practice, behaviour support, and more
