
Analytical Chemist

- Sample Preparation & Analysis: utilise chromatographic techniques such as GC and HPLC to prepare and analyse samples.
- Collaborative Communication: Present and discuss analytical results with relevant teams to ensure project objectives are met.
- Project Management: Plan, monitor, and control work in collaboration with team leaders while effectively communicating results to stakeholders.
- Customer Focus: Actively seek relevant information and discuss issues with colleagues across formulation, manufacturing, and synthetic chemistry departments.
- Creative Problem-Solving: Assess complex situations and generate original solutions to analytical challenges.
- A first degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject with significant analytical content. A PhD in analytical chemistry or relevant experience is a plus.
- Proven experience with analytical techniques for qualitative and quantitative analysis, particularly GC and HPLC.
- Familiarity with GC-MS, LC-MS, and spectrophotometry is desirable, but not essential.
- Knowledge of extraction procedures and sample preparation technologies for agrochemicals or similar products.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, flexibility, and exceptional planning and multi-tasking abilities.
- Experience working effectively in cross-functional teams, solving common problems with varied methods.
- A solid understanding of physical and organic chemistry.
