
Commissioning Officer

- Be able to work independently, take responsibility for complex intelligence gathering and research relating to specific projects and take a creative approach to market development.
- Contributing to contracting, procurement and tendering, being responsible for ensuring that contracts are robust, delivering value for money and effectively working to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
- Facilitate and undertaken engagement, participation and co-design with service users, providers and stakeholders.
- Write communications, service specifications, reports and contribute to effective delivery of the contract and commissioning workflow for the team.
- Experience in commissioning and contract management across children's services or related sectors.
- Strong partnership working skills, with the ability to influence and co-design across systems.
- A track record of delivering service improvements and managing complex projects.
- The ability to interpret data, write reports, develop strategies, and lead implementation with confidence.
- A proactive, creative thinker with strong communication skills and a passion for co-production and social value.
