Are you a qualified accountant with Housing sector experience and a working knowledge of systems administration? Do you have a background in Management Accounting in the Housing sector? Are you looking for an opportunity to support a business undergoing significant transformation?I’m working with a social housing provider to recruit an Interim Finance Systems and Management Accountant on a 6-12 month contract. This role is almost completely remote and blends hands-on accounting with Finance Systems administration and offers a chance to contribute to business as usual while the wider team navigates major systems and reporting changes.Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing and posting journals relating to Housing-specific activity
  • Supporting monthly reconciliations and maintaining reporting integrity
  • Producing supporting analysis for management accounts and year-end notes
  • Systems administration: managing user access, code maintenance, reporting permissions and responding to audit queries
  • Supporting subsidiary accounts and maintaining the Chart of Accounts
  • Liaising with the wider finance team to ensure accurate and timely period-end reporting
This is a great opportunity to join a team mid-way through a wide-reaching transformation, with new systems being introduced. You’ll play a key role in keeping business-as-usual processes running while also supporting the clean-up and integration of financial data across systems.The role is largely remote, with occasional office presence (approximately once every two months).To be considered, please meet the following criteria:
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) – strong finalists may be considered
  • Prior experience in the Housing sector is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrable experience using and administering finance systems
  • Confident journal preparation, reconciliation and reporting skills
  • Comfortable with systems administration and coordinating responses to audit
