Seven Resourcing are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Fitter/Mechanic to start a new role in Stalybridge, Tameside.You will carry out repairs and maintenance of all classes of vehicles, plant and equipment owned or operated by the Local Authority, whilst ensuring compliance with operator licensing requirements and any other legislation to which the vehicle, plant or equipment is subject to.This is a full-time temporary role for the next 3 months, with the possibility of extension.Responsibilities:Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to authority vehicles equipment and plant.Inspecting vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose faults.Repairing or replacing broken or defective parts and resolving defects.Road testing vehicles to check repairs.Following checklists to ensure all procedures are completed to the required standard.Completing all documentation to the required standard.Applicant Requirements:Experience: Previous vehicle fitter / mechanic experienceQualifications: One or more of the following: A certificate in Light Vehicle Maintenance Level 3. Irtec qualification. Agricultural machinery qualification.
