Do you want to work as part of an organisation protecting people and maintaining maximum national security?Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for Senior Engineer Stage 1 to add to their talented, hardworking team in Glasgow (visits to site every 3 months) on an initial 12 months contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same.£45.95 per hour inside IR35 / Umbrella per hourThe role:Senior Engineer for the integration of the CH-148 Cyclone helicopter system within the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC) programme. Covering all aspects of the operational, functional and physical/engineering for the helicopter, accountable to the responsible engineer and interacting with the client/supply chain.Produce Layout Drawings for Aviation compartments for review by stakeholders and to allow Stage 2 to correctly model these spaces.
Update Windchill PLM with mature parts, systems, occurrences and compartment data to ensure it correctly presents the baseline design.Skills:To succeed within this role, you'll have experience in a similar position, and you'll ideally have the following skills:The role holder will require knowledge and experience of naval and / or commercial ship Aviation systems with the experience to support system and spatial integration issues with other disciplines.Aviation includes the design integration of:
the Aircraft Handling System
design or modification of Aviation services and compartments
development of the Aviation safety case and development of contractual documents.
Experience with Ship aviation design is desirable.
