- Be responsible for providing support to individuals, some of who may be distressed. The post holder will need to be self-aware, compassionate and actively seek to address self-care.
- Be the lead for supporting carers forums, to encourage engagement in carers forums.
- Provide information to family carers about support groups available, this could include both local support groups and national support groups.
- Be responsible for linking family carers with relevant Multi-Disciplinary teams
- Use positive family engagement to transform the experiences of patients and families
- Working knowledge and practice of Professional Boundaries
- Experience of working with the public in a public facing service such as health care
- Desirable- Level 3 Health and Social Care Qualification
- IT Literate
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act
- Good telephone skills
- Able to demonstrate active listening skills
- Personable, responsive and able to escalate carers concerns when applicable.
- Annual salary of £27,820
