This post is for a Clinical Fellow in Cardiology at Royal Papworth Hospital. The role is ideally suited to a cardiology trainee looking to gain broad experience in a leading tertiary centre.In addition to service commitments, the post includes flexible training time. When not rostered for on-call or ward responsibilities, the Clinical Fellow will have opportunities to engage in training across a range of specialist areas, including coronary intervention, cardiac devices, electrophysiology, echocardiography, cardiac MRI, cardiac CT, and specialist outpatient clinics.The post is offered as a 12-month fixed-term contract, with an anticipated start date of October / November 2025.Main duties of the jobThe successful applicant will contribute to the delivery of high-quality inpatient care and emergency cardiology services. Responsibilities will include participation in the on-call rota (including bleep-holding, primary PCI cover, crash calls, ITU and surgery liaison) and acting as ward registrar for the hospital's three cardiology wards, with duties including patient reviews and clinical decision-making in collaboration with the consultant team.About usRoyal Papworth Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is the UK's leading heart and lung hospital, delivering care to more than 50,000 patients a year in its new state-of-the-art hospital in Cambridge.
