- Support projects aimed at expanding and optimizing our global supply chain footprint, including new sourcing regions, and international distribution channels.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for global supply chain projects.
- Identify, analyse, and implement cost reduction opportunities across the supply chain, encompassing procurement, logistics, warehousing, and operational processes.
- Develop and manage detailed cost-saving project plans, tracking progress against established targets and milestones, and preparing reports and KPIs for agreed objectives, savings and ROI.
- Utilise data analysis to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and waste; propose data-driven solutions.
- Plan and execute projects focused on enhancing key supply chain performance metrics such as on-time-in-full (OTIF), lead times, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Implement best practices and continuous improvement methodologies to streamline processes and reduce variability.
- Benchmark supply chain performance and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Provide the supply chain's primary liaison for all new product development projects, guiding them from concept through to successful market launch.
- Collaborate with R&D, Product Management, Marketing, and Sales teams to coordinate product specifications, critical milestone timelines, and specific launch requirements.
- Ensure the timely and efficient sourcing, procurement, and availability of necessary components, raw materials, and finished goods for new products, working with the planning teams to anticipate and resolve potential supply constraints.
- Oversee and participate in initial production runs for new products, addressing supply chain bottlenecks, quality issues, or operational challenges promptly and effectively.
- Collect, analyse, and interpret complex supply chain data to identify trends, accurately measure project performance and inform critical strategic decisions; escalate key issues and risks.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to projects, supply chain performance, and NPD efficiency.
- Experience in supply chain management, operations, or project management.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, cross-functional projects from inception to completion, utilising project management methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong ability to interpret complex data sets, identify patterns, extract meaningful insights, and translate them into actionable strategies and recommendations.
- Advanced proficiency in data processing and analysis tools, particularly Microsoft Excel (including XLOOKUPs, advanced formulas etc. and data visualisation).
- Knowledge of the product development lifecycle and its implications across the supply chain, including risk mitigation for new launches.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, highly organized, results-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced, continuously evolving global business environment.
- Experience with other data analysis software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and ideally experience with supply chain planning or analytics software.
- Prince 2 qualified
- Understanding of global logistics, customs processes, and cross-border supply chain complexities.
