Salary: Up to £125 per day (Depending on Experience)

Contract Type: Day-to-day/ Long Term, Full time / Part timeAre you a caring and motivated individual with a passion for supporting children in their early years of education?GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide tailored support to KS1 pupils in schools across Doncaster.As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant (1:1 TA), you will be working closely with a child in KS1 to provide personalised learning support, helping them to access the curriculum, build confidence, and develop their academic and social skills in the classroom environment. This is a rewarding role where your guidance and encouragement can make a real difference in a child’s learning journey.Responsibilities of a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for KS1:
  • Provide one-to-one classroom support for a KS1 pupil, ensuring they remain engaged and focused.
  • Assist the child with literacy, numeracy, and other subjects following the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
  • Adapt learning resources and activities to suit the child’s individual needs.
  • Support the pupil’s emotional and social development in a positive and nurturing manner.
  • Collaborate with teachers and parents to track progress and set achievable goals.
  • Maintain a safe, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment.
1:1 Teaching Assistant for KS1 Requirements:
  • CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance, or equivalent qualification.
  • Previous experience supporting children, ideally in KS1.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young learners.
  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting learning.
  • Understanding of safeguarding practices and a commitment to ensuring child welfare.
  • A valid enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply).
