Job Title: Psychiatric Liaison Nurse Location: NHS - Sheffield, South Yorkshire Contract Type: Temporary (Agency) 4-Month Contract (Immediate Start) Pay Rate: £31.00 per hour (Umbrella) | £27.61 per hour (PAYE, including holiday pay) Shift Pattern: Nights Only We are urgently seeking experienced Band 6 Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMNs) or Social Workers to join the Liaison Psychiatry team in Sheffield on a 4-month agency contract. This role will primarily involve night shift cover , providing specialist mental health assessments and interventions within a hospital setting. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for patients referred to the Liaison Psychiatry service. Provide rapid risk assessments and formulate management plans for individuals presenting with acute mental health needs. Offer short-term therapeutic interventions and signposting to appropriate services. Work collaboratively with A&E, medical wards, and crisis teams to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate documentation and clinical records in line with NHS standards. Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and escalate concerns as necessary. Contribute to handover and multidisciplinary team discussions during night shifts.
