- Assist the packing manager in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of packing schedules
- Deliver the weekly packing schedule to the required performance figure, set annually in the yearly objectives
- Ensure product is packed to the required GMP standards and operators demonstrate GMP requirements through recruitment, training and reviews
- Lead and address day-to-day production issues and communicate effectively with relevant departments
- Investigate non-conformances to the correct standard
- Ensure all cell audit actions are closed with a permanent solution
- Support the QA department through timely release of BPRs
- Measure, monitor and review cell OEE to achieve department targets
- Manage line leaders to ensure line performance and GMP standards are maintained
- Manage line technicians' training, performance and reviews
- Set and maintain standards through training, SOPs, work instructions, audits and reviews
- Manage staff through interviews, reviews, counselling and HR procedures
- Ensure staff have up-to-date Risk Assessments and take timely action on near misses or accidents
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient site operation
- Work with planning to generate a weekly plan
- Ideally 2 years' experience in a GMP or food processing environment, including at least 1 year in supervision
- Determination and capability for high standards of supervision
