- Lead the certification lifecycle: Verra VCS (core), transition from SOCIALCARBON to CCB, organic certification, and compliance with local standards in Paraguay.
- Prepare and submit PDDs, Monitoring Reports, and verification documentation, ensuring precision and rigor in GHG accounting.
- Coordinate with Validation & Verification Bodies (VVBs) and manage audits and stakeholder consultations.
- Oversee monitoring/data collection with local teams; ensure reporting on co-benefits.
- Conduct research on carbon markets, methodologies (e.g. VM0047), and innovations to optimize credit value.
- Produce clear, technical reports and presentations; maintain high-quality documentation.
- Travel to Paraguay 2–4 times per year for field monitoring and verification activities.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience managing certification processes for carbon projects.
- Proven track record with Verra VCS (PDDs, Monitoring Reports, audits, stakeholder consultations).
- Background in a VVB (Validation & Verification Body) or a carbon project developer (e.g., South Pole, Land Life Company, Climate Impact Partners, EcoPlanet Bamboo, Livelihoods Carbon Funds).
- Fluent English (C1) and Spanish (C1) – required for direct engagement with local stakeholders.
- University degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Sustainability, or related fields.
- Strong analytical writing and documentation skills; high precision in GHG calculations.
- Proactive, autonomous, and comfortable managing multiple certification streams.
- Experience with ARR methodologies (AR-AMS0007, VM0047).
- Familiarity with soil organic carbon sampling and co-benefit monitoring.
