Managing Director, Manufacturing, Based in South Wales, £100K Basic + bonuses + full executive package. This is not just another general management position; it is an opportunity to shape the future of a thriving UK manufacturer, supported by the strength of a global leader.We are looking for an experienced Managing Director or General Manager with proven experience in a senior leadership role within the manufacturing sector. In this role, you will oversee three separate silos, each led by Directors, and a total staff remit of circa 45. The role is replacing the incumbent MD, who is retiring, and you will have the opportunity to work closely with them in the first few weeks to fully understand the business and ensure you are given the best possible chance to succeed. The company is part of a UK Group, which in turn is owned by a global engineering conglomerate.In Return, as the Managing Director, You Will Receive.

A starting base salary of approximately £100,000, along with a profit-share bonus of around £20,000 based on achieving Year One targets.
A comprehensive executive benefits package is included, including a car or car allowance.

To Apply to the Role of Managing Director, Manufacturing

Proven experience of at least 7 years at a senior level (General Management or Board Level) in manufacturing and supply chain.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma.
A strong understanding of manufacturing operations, supply chain management, and production processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire at all levels.
The ability to navigate complex challenges, lead change, and make data-driven decisions.
Knowledge of local and international market trends and regulations in the manufacturing industry.
You will ideally have received formally recognised management training.
You thrive in a manufacturing environment and are used to leading distinctly different teams.
You have a strong desire for growth, with a hands-on approach and a strategic mindset.

The Role of Managing Director, Manufacturing

You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the business, including commercial operations, production, supply chain, human resources, quality assurance, and finance.
Your primary focus will be to develop and implement an overall business strategy aimed at achieving growth and profitability targets, with a clear expectation of achieving annual growth of at least 5%. This requirement is non-negotiable.
Additionally, you will ensure that the company complies with industry regulations, as well as health, safety, and environmental standards.
