This is a pivotal role providing inspirational leadership of the multi-disciplinary delivery suite teams and providing excellence in clinical skills and support to staff. This could offer a fantastic development opportunity for applicants aiming towards a substantive band 7 role following. Successful applicants would be required to work on both City sites at Leeds General Infirmary and St James Hospital on a rotational basis.Main duties of the jobThe post holder is an expert clinical practitioner of midwifery. S/he coordinates and manages the day-to-day activities for the delivery suite, obstetric theatres, obstetric high dependency unit (HDU), allocating the team in accordance with capabilities and workload. The post holder is responsible for the unit out of hours and at weekends whilst on duty.
