Are you passionate about supporting children with behavioural needs? Do you have experience working with pupils with SEND or challenging behaviour? A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Potters Bar is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.The Role:
You will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to support pupils with behavioural challenges on a 1:1 or small group basis. This role is pivotal in helping students engage positively with learning and school life.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies under the guidance of the SENCo
  • Assisting in classroom activities and maintaining a safe, positive environment
  • Building trusting relationships with students and staff
  • Contributing to individual support plans and feedback reports
Ideal Candidate:
  • Experience supporting children with SEND and/or behavioural difficulties
  • Calm, empathetic and consistent in approach
  • Able to use initiative and adapt to the needs of the pupils
  • A team player with strong communication skills
  • Available to start immediately
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Temporary until July (potential to become permanent in September)
Hours: Mornings only preferred (some flexibility possible)
Location: Mainstream Primary School, Potters Bar
