What you'll do:As an Assistant Company Secretary, you will be integral to the provision of world-class corporate governance and secretarial services. Your role will involve delivering top-tier governance support, managing paper collation and distribution, interacting with key stakeholders on all aspects of corporate governance matters, and leading ad hoc projects as required. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of services provided and the development of corporate governance strategy and initiatives.
  • Provide support on all corporate governance and company secretarial matters
  • Deliver efficient company secretarial and governance advisory services
  • Plan, schedule and review relevant materials submitted to various Boards/committees
  • Advise on practical application of statutory/regulatory requirements and corporate guidance best practice
  • Maintain regular, proactive liaison with relevant stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with senior executives and stakeholders
  • Facilitate or support annual evaluations of Boards/committees
  • Ensure effective corporate governance processes and internal controls are operating as required
What you bring:The ideal candidate brings a wealth of knowledge in corporate governance models, theories, and practices within the financial services sector. As a qualified company secretary, you have proven negotiation skills at a senior level that instil confidence in key stakeholders.
  • Qualified company secretary or lawyer
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience of corporate governance models, theories and practice in a financial services environment
  • Proven negotiation skills at a senior level demonstrating gravitas
  • Knowledge of company secretarial, governance and regulatory environment pertaining to large complex financial services organisations
  • Excellent written communication skills with ability to absorb complex information and simplify it
  • Ability to operate at pace and adapt to a fast changing internal and external environment
