Job Description:Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Authority to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and leadership on all technical matters within your designated area of expertise. You will be the go-to person for complex technical questions, and you will play a key role in ensuring that our technical decisions are sound, compliant, and aligned with our overall business objectives.The role will be working remotely from the main Payload Technical Authority group in the UK, as the role will be based in the USA.Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert technical advice and guidance to internal stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and executives.
  • Review and approve technical designs, specifications, and documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate technical risks.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in your field of expertise.
  • Develop and implement technical standards and best practices.
  • Conduct technical audits and assessments.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the company's technical strategy.
  • Mentor and coach junior technical staff.
  • Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
  • Represent the company at meetings with customers and suppliers
  • Drive the investigation plans for any equipment level anomalies
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Technical Authority or in a similar technical leadership role within the Space industry
  • Extensive knowledge of diverse technology and development methodologies, covering some of the following topics - RF Equipment (LNA's, HPA's Converters etc), DCDC Converters, DSP's, PCB Design, Materials and Processes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and security best practices.
