Overview:We are looking for a Sales superstar to help drive our clean green mission!We have a role which has become available for a 12 month graduate internship (immediate start). The role will be spit into 2 x 6 month placements.Firstly, you'll work in our Grocery team; supporting executing promotional strategy, and capturing insights to help drive more accurate forecasting. This covers Tesco, Sainsburys, Waitrose, ASDA and Morrison’s on Ecover and method, to meet commercial objectives in terms of sales, profit and share. Key to this is working with a number of functions to optimise plans to grow profitably both in physical stores and in the rapidly developing ecommerce channel.For the final 6 months you will join the Category team. Our mission is to grow eco-cleaning by developing and landing strategies that deliver for the consumer, our retailers, and our brands. You'll be supporting a team of category managers that can effortlessly build rewarding relationships with a selection of our retailers, stretching and influencing their thinking through killer insight. Key responsibilities in this team include influencing key retailer decision makers on range, merchandising, promotion; driving engagement in our brands and in the green category; and advising them how to grow the category.This is an excellent opportunity to work within a busy professional winning team. You will have the opportunity not just to understand the sales function but have exposure to the other functions such as, demand planning, supply chain, customer fulfillment, and marketing.Responsibilities (for the Grocery rotation):
  • In this position you will have hands on experience working within our sales team. You will have exposure to the following key areas; Business Analytics, Executing Promotional Strategy, Retailer NPD process and General Account Management.
  • Supporting Promotional Strategy both internally and externally from forecasting to retailer promotional forms.
  • Working closely with Marketing and Category Management to recommend new ranges to the retailer and submit the retailer forms in the New Line process.
  • Gathering, interpreting and sharing insights on promotional activity and NPD listed within the accounts.
  • Collating and preparing data, presentations, materials needed for meetings with Buyers and Top-2-Top meetings.
  • Working alongside customer marketing in the organisation and preparation of brand days.
  • Supporting the account manager within the internal planning process with forecasting, financial promotional planning and financial accrual process.

Responsibilities (for the Category rotation):
  • Help the team develop and grow our relationship with a selection on a priority retail accounts, via their buying and category teams.
  • Use data and insight to influence retailers selections on range, promo, merchandising and events, becoming their go-to contact for impartial, actionable advice.
  • Work cross-functionally with colleagues in marketing to build compelling trade narratives to support our business objectives.
  • Support the sales team to understand the commercial obstacles that we are facing and in turn share the category insights and trends we are observing in our retailers so that together you can build winning customer plans as a united customer team
  • Be LSB’s eye’s and ears in our retailer sharing news with the business on new listings, delists, range changes and performance. Bang the drum and ring the bell to drive action in light of this information.
