- Assess patient care needs and deliver high-quality, individualised care throughout their endoscopy journey.
- Provide clear explanations and advice to patients undergoing procedures, ensuring they feel informed and supported.
- Set up and maintain endoscopy rooms and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for safe and effective treatment.
- Administer and monitor medications in line with hospital policy and professional standards.
- Support patients in recovery and give appropriate post-procedure advice.
- Rotate through different roles within the department including procedure room, pre-assessment calls, and recovery.
- Act as a mentor to junior colleagues and student nurses, fostering a learning and supportive environment.
- Play an active role in clinical governance, departmental audits, and maintaining compliance with JAG standards.
- Knowledgeable about theatre practice, endoscopy standards, and governance requirements.
- Confident in delivering patient-centred care with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, adaptable, and able to prioritise a busy workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Committed to your own professional development and keen to share knowledge with colleagues.
- Flexible and positive in your approach, with a genuine commitment to providing safe, high-quality care.
- Experience as a theatre practitioner or additional endoscopy training – desirable.
- Salary up to £35,000 based on experience
