You'll be working closely with the Director and wider team on serious criminal defence matters, with a particular focus on cases involving allegations of sexual offences and domestic violence. This is a hands-on role with immediate involvement in sensitive, high-profile, and rewarding work.Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting solicitors with case preparation, file management, and client liaison
- Managing Legal Aid and private client matters
- Drafting, reviewing, and organising legal documentation
- Coordinating with barristers, experts, and external professionals
- Ensuring clients feel supported and guided throughout the process
- Experience in criminal defence is highly desirable (legal aid, private client, or both)
- Applications from Legal Administrators / Paralegals from other areas of law will also be considered
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A client-first approach, with the ability to provide reassurance in sensitive situations
- Please note: candidates with exclusive experience in driving offences will not be considered
