Role ID: SF66618At Babcock we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Project Manager at our Babcock Technology Centre site.The roleAs a Project Manager, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll join the Submarine Support Engineering (SSE) team to lead complex defence projects that support key business goals and enhance Royal Navy submarine availability and safety.Day-to-day, you'll lead complex engineering projects that drive both short-term business outcomes and long-term strategic investments, directly contributing to improved submarine availability and operational readiness.
- Lead projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and baselines are met
- Build and manage cross-functional teams to deliver agreed scope and foster collaboration
- Oversee schedules, budgets, risks, and opportunities to ensure successful delivery
- Communicate with key stakeholders to align on project goals and progress
- Continuously improve processes and develop project management skills in line with best practice
- Proven track record of successful project delivery in complex engineering environments
- Strong leadership and problem solving skills, with a proactive approach to challenges
- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement across all levels, ensuring clear alignment of requirements, expectations, and project outcomes.
- Self-motivated with a drive to own and shape your career development
- Relevant qualification in Project Management (APM PMQ or similar).
- A registered Project Professional, actively working towards or willing to work towards professional accreditation.
