Salary: £90–£105 per dayAre you a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant ready to inspire and support young learners?
We’re looking for a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming school in the BS13 area of Bristol this September. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the crucial early years of primary education, helping children grow in confidence, develop key skills, and discover a love of learning.In this role, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to create a supportive and engaging learning environment, adapting your approach to meet the needs of every child in your care.What You’ll Do:
  • Support the teacher in delivering creative, engaging lessons that bring the KS1 curriculum to life.
  • Assist pupils with reading, writing, maths, and other core skills, both 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity and resilience.
  • Help manage classroom routines, prepare resources, and supervise activities.
  • Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing and promote positive behaviour.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure every child thrives.
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience working with KS1 pupils in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
  • Is adaptable, patient, and able to build strong relationships with children and staff.
  • Can work as part of a team and use initiative to support the teacher and pupils.
  • Has strong communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Holds a relevant childcare or TA qualification (Level 2 or 3) – desirable but not essential.
