- Engage with end clients to establish clear IT briefs and define technology requirements
- Develop and coordinate technical documentation and IT design drawings
- Design and specify Structured Cabling Systems and IT Comms Spaces including related M&E and architectural elements
- Advise on physical and logical network architecture, voice systems, and unified communications
- Collaborate with design teams to deliver infrastructure strategies aligned to RIBA work stages
- Manage competitive tender processes and oversee contractor delivery
- Review and approve technical submittals, conduct site inspections, and manage commissioning and handover
- Contribute to technology strategy, smart building discussions, and future-ready IT infrastructure planning
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in IT infrastructure design, ideally within the built environment
- Strong technical and commercial acumen, with a consultancy mindset
- Proven background in structured cabling systems and IT comms space design (essential)
- Familiarity with logical/physical data networks, unified communications, and voice systems (preferred)
- Experience with RIBA work stages, and projects such as commercial offices, hotels, or large-scale refurbishments
- Confidence liaising with architects, MEP consultants, and contractors
- Advantageous: Exposure to smart buildings, AutoCAD, or international project delivery
- Industry credentials such as CNID, CNIDP, RCDD, or BICSI are desirable
- A clear, professional communicator with the ability to manage complex project workflows
- Degree-level education in telecommunications, computing, or electronics (or equivalent industry experience)
