Would you like to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential?A supportive SEN school in Watford is seeking a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2025. The school, rated ‘Good’ in its most recent Ofsted inspection, offers an excellent environment to gain valuable experience in SEN support while making a lasting impact on students’ lives.The Role – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:
  • Support students aged 11–16 with a wide range of needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health), and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Deliver tailored academic and emotional support, working with pupils both 1:1 and in small groups.
  • Help students access the curriculum while building their confidence, resilience, and independence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and SEN specialists to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

About you – Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant:
  • 2:1 degree or higher (Psychology, Education, or related fields advantageous)
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Calm, adaptable, and resilient in challenging situations
