O/T: Fixed at £18.00Job DescriptionGeneral Responsibilities and Objectives:
- Attend work on a regular and timely basis.
- Achieve and maintain the required level of work rate.
- Follow instructions from your First Line Manager.
- Report any signs that you are unwell or not able to carry out your duties.
- Maintain good communication with First Line Managers.
- Monitor and maintain housekeeping standards to the required levels.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse procedures for the reporting of damages and any signs of contamination.
- Report any defects found on site in relation to the product, equipment or facilities to your First
- Line Manager.
- Maintain a clean and tidy appearance and adhere to the Hygiene Policy at all times.
- Be polite and courteous to your colleagues, visitors and visiting drivers, and all other site staff.
- Be willing to undertake any aspect of warehouse work including FLT driving, order picking,
- manually loading/unloading containers and cleaning duties, as may be required to complete the
- daily schedule.
- Operate and maintain all activities required to ensure food safety, quality, legality, and integrity.
- Comply with Food Safety Regulations.
- Constantly check the quality of all products to ensure that they meet the required standards
- Maintain Health and Safety via compliance with Health and Safety Policy, risk assessment
- guidelines ensuring that any issues are brought to the attention of the warehouse supervisor.
- Only operate equipment or perform tasks once adequate training has been provided and
- authorisation has been given by the Manager/ Supervisor of the appropriate area.
- Ensure that all equipment / workplace safety defects are reported according to the relevant
- procedures.
- Adhere to all safe working procedures/ safety signs/ safety notices all times.
- Bring to the attention of your immediate Manager/Supervisor any unsafe working practices or
- procedures immediately.
- Upkeep of housekeeping standards at all times.
- Ensure that all faulty equipment is immediately reported to your immediate Manager/Supervisor and the relevant defect reporting procedure actioned.
- Play an active role in Health and Safety by contributing to committee meetings - suggesting
- improved working practices.
- Ensure that the correct PPE and safety equipment is used at all times.
- To assist and co-operate in the investigation of accidents and incidents as required. Ensure
- that the relevant accident/incident forms are completed within the set timescales.
- Immediately report accidents, near miss incidents, unsafe behaviour and damages to
- machinery, property, regardless of injury / outcome to your immediate Manager/Supervisor.
- Liaise with Supervisor, and Employees at all levels within the business to continually improve
- compliance to the management systems.

- Good Standard of Literacy and Numeracy
- 2 years previous experience in a highly active warehouse
- Capable of operating with minimal supervision within broad guidelines
- Capable of good interpersonal skills and resilient character.
- Working knowledge of warehousing and transport operations.
- Working knowledge of Site ISO Quality and BRC principles
- Good levels of commitment and motivation.
