You could be just who we’re looking for.We’re on the hunt for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support a child with special educational needs in a primary school in Colchester. This is a full-time role, and for the right person, it could lead to a permanent position.If you’ve got a nurturing nature, bags of patience, and a genuine desire to help children thrive - you’ll fit right in.What you’ll be doing:Supporting a child 1:1 within the classroom, helping them access learning and feel part of the school dayEncouraging social and emotional development, building trust and confidence along the wayAdapting activities under the guidance of the class teacher to suit the child’s individual needsPromoting positive behaviour and keeping the classroom a calm, focused environmentWorking closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to track progress and celebrate winsWhat we’re looking for:Experience working with children or young people, ideally those with SEN (but we’re open!)A warm, reliable presence - someone children feel comfortable withGreat communication skills and a team-player mindsetA proactive approach and willingness to learnLevel 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is a bonus, but not essential
