- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including terms of use, customer, partnership, non-disclosure, SaaS subscription, vendor, and other commercial or technology licensing agreements.
- Work closely and collaboratively with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and provide strategic advice and counsel on legal issues impacting Toast's products, business, and customers.
- Support the development and maintenance of legal resources and materials to aid business stakeholders in the development of innovative, compliant products and services.
- Work in partnership with other members of the Toast Legal and Compliance teams to leverage internal subject matter expertise and integrate it into applicable services, and commercial matters.
- A recognized law degree, an admission in good standing as a solicitor or equivalent legal professional by the relevant regulatory body in Ireland, another EU member state, or Canada (including Quebec).
- 3+ years of post qualification legal experience in commercial/transactional law, preferably in-house with a fast-paced, high-growth technology, software or fintech company.
- Strong business and legal acumen with the ability to: advise on multi-jurisdictional issues, quickly identify legal and business issues; balance risks; advise business stakeholders on contract interpretation and deal structures; and devise and articulate business-oriented and practical solutions to various internal and external audiences.
- Ability to work with independence, manage competing priorities effectively, and meet deadlines.

- Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex legal concepts succinctly to non-legal audiences.
- Additional qualification to practice in at least one other EU Member State;
- Full professional proficiency in French (reading, drafting, and negotiation of commercial contracts).
