Our strength comes from our outstanding people; our strong relationships in the education world; our expertise in using technology to help people learn; our global footprint and local reach; and our position as a profitable, global company with a unifying sense of purpose.Reporting to the Director of Brand & Portfolio Marketing, we are looking for a Senior Marketing Manager that will oversee the marketing for Pearson's UK Apprenticeships product and services.This role will also manage all the marketing for Pearson TQ (a specialist training provider of leadership and management apprenticeship programmes).Key to this role is an understanding of how to define product marketing strategy and an ability to translate that strategy into action. You will be a leader, someone that can build strong relationships across the business, and you will have the ability to own and deliver large, complicated projects and campaigns that run across different teams.Your OpportunityThis is an exciting role to work across two of our divisional priority growth areas. You will be the strategic owner of the marketing strategies for Pearson Apprenticeships and Pearson TQ product and services offering. Additionally, you will collaborate on key marketing strategies & projects across all of Pearson's vocational offering alongside the wider senior marketing team.Key AccountabilitiesWorking with stakeholders within the business to create and deliver the annual marketing plans for two divisional priority areas (Pearson Apprenticeships and Pearson TQ).Overseeing all product marketing for Pearson Apprenticeships and Pearson TQ products and services.Capture the voice of the customer (both providers and employers) to inform product positioning, campaign planning and future product plans.Lead multiple project teams to plan, design and execute targeted brand and lead generation marketing activations across a range of channels on a quarterly basis.Manage and develop an agile team of marketing colleagues alongside contractors.Develop and maintain insight into the apprenticeship landscape within the UK.Understand the product features and be able to translate this into benefits for the end user.Develop and establish narrative and marketing assets for priority audiences to grow the awareness, perception, and consideration for Pearson Apprenticeships.Develop and execute B2B marketing activity that drives leads and pipeline, enabling sales & business teams to grow existing business and to increase market share.Maintain relationships with external organisations that are pivotal to decision making and promotional activity for Apprenticeships and Pearson TQ.Represent the marketing team at key senior leadership meetings where business critical decisions are made.Who We Are looking ForDemonstrable marketing experience with a significant period of that time in product marketingStrong leadership, line management and team development skills.Strong expertise in marketing lead generation and direct, goal-oriented marketing activity.Extensive experience of simultaneously managing multiple campaigns with different objectives.Ability to manage multiple stakeholders to drive cohesion and a shared vision, including both internal and external.Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.Ability to prioritise most valuable activity.Exceptional attention to detail and highly organised.Proactive, pragmatic and analytical mindset.Positive, collaborative, can-do attitude.Excellent communication skills.Essential7+ years of marketing experience (preferably B2B)Good understanding of the UK education sector. Including knowledge around work-based learning and apprenticeship products and services.Experience working with training providers and employers would be desirable.Educated in marketing or business (eg CIM, degree, MBA, mini-MBA).Proven team management experience.Track record of successful performance in a marketing role.A leader. Someone that can plan out a complicated project/campaigns, that is adept at bringing different stakeholders on board, and someone that can deliver ambitious goals.
