Job Title - Branch ManagerLocation - SomersetJob Type - Full-Time, PermenantSalary - £55,000 + Bonus Hours: 44.5 hours per week | Alternate Saturdays (1 in 2)Job OverviewKBB Recruitment are seeking a driven and experienced Branch Manager to take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of a well-established plumbing and heating branch. In this pivotal role, you will lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team, while driving sales, maximising operational efficiency, and delivering outstanding customer service.You will be the key figure ensuring the branch meets its commercial targets, operates safely and efficiently, and upholds our reputation for service excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the daily operations of the branch, ensuring commercial, sales, and service objectives are consistently achievedMotivate, coach, and support team members to deliver exceptional performance and customer satisfactionWork collaboratively with the Assistant Branch Manager to plan workflows, develop operational procedures, and manage day-to-day activitiesDrive sales through effective customer engagement, local marketing initiatives, and team collaborationEnsure the branch meets or exceeds targets related to revenue, customer service, and productivityMonitor and manage colleague performance, providing feedback, support, and development opportunitiesHandle and resolve any customer, supplier, or staff complaints with professionalism and efficiencyEnsure full compliance with company procedures, including health & safety and environmental policiesAbout You – Skills & ExperienceStrong background in managing a branch within the building materials, construction, or trade sectorProven ability to lead and develop a successful team in a fast-paced environmentCommercially minded with a strong track record of achieving sales targets and identifying new business opportunitiesConfident in handling branch operations including stock, customer service, health & safety, and sales managementA clear and effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skillsProficient in using standard PC software (e.g., Microsoft Office, internal systems)Proactive, hands-on, and results-driven approachPrevious experience managing a medium to large-sized branch is essentialWhat We OfferCompetitive salary of £55,000 per annum44.5 hours per week, including alternate Saturdays (1 in 2)Performance-based incentivesOngoing professional development and training opportunitiesA supportive, team-oriented working environmentKBB Recruitment are acting as the employment agency for this position.
