Our partner in Bath is an outstanding provider of education for students aged 5-19 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including those with Autism, learning disabilities, communication challenges, and emotional/behavioural difficulties.The school provides a holistic, child-centred approach to learning, offering a safe and welcoming environment where students can develop academically, socially, and emotionally. The school offers a bespoke curriculum, designed to meet the individual needs of each student, with a strong focus on building essential life skills, independence, and confidence.Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in the classroom by assisting with learning activities and promoting engagement.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to each student's needs.
- Assist with the implementation of individualised learning plans (ILPs) and ensure they are adhered to.
- Help students develop key life skills, including communication, independence, and emotional regulation.
- Manage classroom behaviour by using positive reinforcement techniques and supporting students in developing self-regulation skills.
- Provide pastoral care and emotional support to students, ensuring their well-being.
- Collaborate with the teaching staff and other professionals to ensure students’ needs are met.
- Assist in the monitoring and tracking of student progress, offering feedback and supporting assessments.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
