- Lead or support the delivery of multidisciplinary digital projects.
- Integrate GIS, data science, and modelling techniques to create cohesive solutions.
- Scope and design spatial workflows and visualisation tools to answer client needs.
- Innovation & Solution Development
- Bring new ideas and ways of working to the team.
- Champion the use of modern, open-source GIS and coding-based geospatial workflows (e.g. GeoPandas, PostGIS, Python, R).
- Technical Excellence
- Apply best-practice GIS principles to spatial data analysis, management, and visualisation.
- Ensure spatial data integrity and interoperability within wider project data pipelines.
- Team Development & Line Management
- Line manage and mentor junior staff, supporting their technical and professional development.
- Promote a collaborative and inclusive team culture focused on learning, quality, and innovation.
- A degree in a relevant field such as Geographic Information Systems, Geospatial Data Science, Geography, Environmental Science or Water Resources Management.
- Previous proven experience in GIS consultancy, ideally within the utilities, infrastructure, or environmental sectors.
- Solid understanding of geospatial analysis, spatial data engineering, and mapping.
- Solid understanding of water networks and their spatial representation and components.
- Develop solutions for complex water-related problems, such as water quality, resilience and infrastructure degradation.
- Proficient in Python and/or R, particularly with geospatial libraries (e.g. GeoPandas, Fiona, Shapely, PyProj, rasterio).
- Experience developing or supporting digital solutions that bring together GIS, data modelling, and client objectives.
- £48,000 - £51,250 depending on experience
