Reporting to the H&S Training Manager you will join the team as a Health & Safety Trainer. You'll be responsible for designing and delivering industry-recognised training programmes, including first aid and personal safety, to ensure all colleagues understand and meet the highest standards in workplace safety.

  • Training Delivery: Deliver a variety of industry-recognised health and safety training courses such as First Aid, Fire Marshal, RPE, Face Fit, COSHH, and Working at Height, in line with L&Q's values and accredited standards.
  • Programme Development & Innovation: Identify opportunities to deliver internal accredited courses and implement best practice solutions to improve learning effectiveness.
  • Internal Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the organisation to coordinate training needs and ensure the provision of learning requirements. Maintain sustainable relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • External Liaison: Work with accreditation bodies and external organisations to support high-quality training delivery. Maintain effective relationships with external customers and new employees.
  • Training Administration & Compliance: Maintain accurate training records, support reporting requirements, and ensure all training activities comply with relevant legislation and regulatory standards.
  • Risk & Project Support: Contribute to project work and highlight risks and training gaps where necessary to support business performance.
What you'll bring:To excel in this role, you'll need:
  • Proven Training Expertise: Experience delivering health and safety-specific training, including First Aid, Fire Safety, RAMS, and Working at Height.
  • Training Qualification: A PTTLS or equivalent Level 3 Education and Training qualification or higher is essential.
  • Accreditation Readiness: Ability to deliver IOSH-accredited training or willingness to become IOSH-accredited.
  • Organisation & Communication: Strong organisational, analytical, and planning skills, with excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Collaborative & Independent Work: Ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a professional team and engage with people at all levels.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, with accurate record-keeping skills.
The post holder is required to hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle. On occasions you will be delivering training sessions mainly around our London-based offices, construction sites and Manchester-based locations to deliver training sessions.
