Job Role: EstimatorSalary: £40,000-£50,000 + BenefitsLocation: KeighleyAre you an experienced Estimator ready for a new challenge?If so, my client are an established contractor who offer design, manufacturing and installation services. With a technical focus on undertaking the installation of pipework including epoxy coated steel, pipework supports, tanks and pressure vessels, access metalwork, and pipe bridges with a heavy focus on the UK water sector.The role will require you in the Keighley office full time, working alongside the Senior Estimator and established engineering team.Job role and responsibilities:

Analyse drawings, specifications and other documentation to prepare estimates
Identify and provide alternative design proposals, solutions and value engineering options
Construct and formulate estimates and resolve commercial issues
Visiting sites to undertake surveys and produce associated reports and tenders
Maintaining quotation records as required
Ensuring profitability of quotations
Liaising with clients and sub-contractors
Ensuring an effective handover of jobs to Project Managers
Preparation of a programme of works for projects
Production of drawings, parts lists and any other information required
Liaising with customers, suppliers and project managers to ensure cost effectiveness
Attending site meetings
Carrying out site investigation work as required
Ensuring profitability of quotations
Liaising with clients and sub-contractors
Ensuring quotation deadlines are managed and adhered to
Ensuring the production of accurate quotations
Ensuring that programmes are not provided to the client that aren’t achievable

Qualifications and Experience required:

Dynamic and specialist experience from an engineering / manufacturing / fabrication / production sector
Knowledge of mechanical engineering / contracting services within the water sector
Attention to detail
Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
Good organisational skills
Excellent Excel and Word skills
Good communication skills
Ability to work on own initiative with limited supervision
Flexible working approach
Driving for work purposes will be required
