We are recruiting for a housekeeper working between both of our sites, Dougie Mac and Children’s & Young Adults Services. Do you have some housekeeping experience working within a clinical environment, with good communication skills, a proactive approach to cleanliness, decontamination and Infection Prevention?Join our dedicated 16 Strong flexible housekeeping team, working within a clinical environment, carrying out deep cleans, and general cleans in all areas of the wards to a very high standard of cleanliness and infection control, for our patientsOther cleaning duties include some offices, laundry and stores.Full training will be given to ensure Infection Prevention.Key Responsibilities
  • To clean areas and equipment in accordance with cleaning schedules following set standards as affirmed by Facilities
  • To report any breakdown of equipment or machinery to the Facilities Manager.
  • To be responsible for the laundering service, when required.
  • To identify personal training needs and participate in In-Service education.
  • To be multi-skilled and work in any other Ancillary department sections as required by the facilities manager.
  • To maintain good relationships with all members of staff.
  • To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act.
  • To ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times
  • To record information as required by the Infection Control Policy.

Salary: £19,100 actual salaryHours: 30 hours a week – 5 out of 7 days a weekYou will work to a 3 week rolling rota - which includes 1 in 3 weekends.Morning shifts are between 7.00am-1.30pm -Afternoon shifts are between 12.30 -7.00pmWeekend shifts are between 7.00am and 3.00pm.Applications close: Sunday 14th September 2025Interviews: Tuesday 23rd September 2025📩 How to Apply
