The branch serves a diverse range of patients, including individuals of all age groups and backgrounds.
They are conveniently situated in a bustling high street, ensuring a steady flow of foot traffic and accessibility for patients.
Due to not being a large city there is plenty of free parking within a short walk of the practice.
The team consists of 20 individuals working together to provide excellent eye care services to our patients.
The branch operates from 9:00am to 5:30pm in the week with a late night on Wednesdays till 6:30pm, 8:50 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays, and 10am to 4pm on Sundays.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including vision testing, refraction, and ocular health assessments.
Accurately diagnose visual problems and ocular conditions and provide appropriate treatment or referral.
Prescribe and dispense corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other optical aids as required.
Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including contact lens care and hygiene.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using our electronic record-keeping system.
Collaborate with the wider team, including Dispensing Opticians, to ensure a seamless patient experience and provide excellent customer service.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in Optometry through continuous professional development.Requirements:Qualified Optometrist registered with the General Optical Council (GOC).
Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Flexibility on weekend working with your choice of either working Saturdays or Sundays or if you are open to working Saturday and Sunday one weekend, you will get the following weekend off.
Preferred experience with trial frames, although one room will have a Nidek Phoropter as well as having Nidek OCT, Humphrey visual field and a Tonoref 3.
Ability to work efficiently within a 25-minute testing time.
Average of 15 to 16 tests per day.Compensation:For your efforts this company is willing to offer a more than competitive salary – up to £65,000 for the right person there are also additional benefits and the opportunity to develop your skills.
