You'll be delivering building materials from our branch to local customers, making sure everything's safe and sound. You'll load up your vehicle with the HIAB, double-check it's all properly packed and legal, and then hit the road. As our face on the road, you'll keep it professional while making around 14 drops a day, then head back to the branch to reload when needed.This is primarily a relief driving role. You'll will be primarily based in Plymouth TP as your "Home Hub". But the role will be covering several branches.J Key Responsibilities:Health & SafetyAssist your team in the loading and unloading of goods, following the companies Safe Loading/Unloading PrinciplesMake sure all materials are secured to prevent shifting, damage or lost loads during transportationUse the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as set out and provided to you by the companyComplete daily vehicle checks to ensure the vehicle is road safe, and report/action any issues foundReport near misses, incidents and unsafe practices to make sure we stay safe and improve our operationFollow all Health & Safety requirements in the branch, on the road and at delivery sitesTake full responsibility for your own fitness to drive at all timesCustomersSpeak to customers in a professional manner, addressing their enquiries and concernsDeliveries must be accurate, timely and reliable to ensure customer satisfactionMaintain proactive communication with the customers, and raise any complaints or concerns to managementGo above and beyond to fulfil our customer's requests, keeping health and safety at the forefront of everything you doOperationsUse company reporting systems and technologies to perform your day-to-day dutiesWork with management to improve vehicle utilisation and contribute to branch successComplete accurate delivery paperworkUse tachograph equipment to accurately record driving hours and follow regulationsComplete all mandated company trainingWho you are:Requirements: You'll need a Class 2 driving license, up-to-date CPC records, and 12+ months of driving experience.HIAB experience: Crane work would also be beneficial but not essential to this role as all the training etc will be given.Customer-focused: You'll be confident building and developing relationships with customers.Safety-focused: You'll prioritize safety in every aspect of your work, completing tasks in a professional manner.Who we are
