Assistant Psychologist£13.57 per hourBelfastRole and responsibilitiesResponsibilities will include contribution to the day-to-day operation of the unit, along with assessment of service users, delivery of individual and group activities, contributing to the formal review processes, accompanying service users on visits/activities outside of the unit and involvement in within-unit service evaluation, audit and training as appropriate. This will include contributing to risk assessment, management and reporting in conjunction with colleagues and managers.Regular supervision and development will be provided.Essential criteria:
  • Psychology graduate with (BSc/MSc with graduate basis for recognition with the British Psychological Society. BPS)
  • Access NI vetted
  • Licence to drive with access to vehicle
  • Knowledge of the impacts and implications of brain injury for adults cognitive, emotional, functional and behavioural presentation
ICT proficiencyDesirable criteria:
  • Experience of having delivered/been involved in delivery of activity based programmes to persons with disabilities
  • Practice related research and evaluation experience
  • Additional relevant education, training and/or qualifications
Experience of using patient records systems (e.g. PARIS)We would stress that candidates will need to:
  • University level qualification in psychology (either BSc or higher) that confers graduate basis for recognition with the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Be qualified driver with access to a vehicle (unless a disability precludes this)
  • Be available to begin work with us in September 2025.
