Job descriptionAre you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities? Step Teachers is working with a Primary School in Ealing to find a SEND Teaching Assistant that is confident, experienced and ready to offer 1:1 support to a child in Year 3 with a range of Educational Needs, including some that would require personal care. This school was rated "Good" under Ofsted's previous criteria for schools, and they're looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant that can readily contribute to a safe, enthuiastic and enjoyable learning environment.SEN Teaching Assistant - Role:
  • Making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
  • Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities.
  • Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
  • Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.
SEN Teaching Assistant - Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as an SEND Teaching Assistant.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent preferred.
