- Significant direct advocacy and policy development experience, ideally on topics of direct relevance to Oxfam Scotland’s work – including poverty, inequality, and the climate crisis.
- An excellent understanding of the policy and political landscapes in Scotland.
- Experience of direct public and political influencing and relationship building skills alongside a proven ability to create change – while demonstrating substantial personal leadership.
- Demonstrable experience of working in partnership with others to achieve shared objectives.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English including the production of written materials for various audiences and purposes, and a comfort in speaking with the media.
- Creative and innovative analytical thinking with proven sound judgement in a complex and fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding, commitment and ideally experience of embedding and continuously learning to embed a decolonial, safe, anti-racist, intersectional, feminist and partner led approach in your work.
