As a Behaviour Mentor, this role provides an excellent opportunity for someone dedicated to helping children with social, emotional, and behavioural needs thrive both academically and personally.Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group interventions for pupils requiring behavioural and emotional support.
  • Help create and implement effective behaviour support strategies.
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support pupil development.
  • Promote a safe and inclusive environment that enables all students to succeed.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to behaviour management plans.
Requirements for Behaviour Mentor:
  • Previous experience as a Behaviour Mentor, Behaviour Support Assistant, Youth Worker, or in a similar role is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, de-escalation, and relationship-building skills.
  • A patient, caring, and empathetic approach to supporting children with additional needs.
  • A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with explanations for any gaps.
