📍 Location: Taunton
🕒 Hours: Full-time (32.5 hours per week), Term Time Only

Do you have the patience, empathy, and dedication to make a real difference in a child’s learning journey?A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Taunton is seeking a committed and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a full-time, term-time only role, supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs across the school.💼 The Role:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning strategies
  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Help create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
✅ The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience working with children with SEN (e.g., ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs)
  • A calm, patient, and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive
  • Enhanced Childworkforce DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one!)
🎓 Desirable:
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3, TA qualification)
  • Experience with EHCPs or working in a primary school setting
