Overview My client are looking for a dynamic and experienced Site Agent/Engineer to join their fantastic. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in site engineering, setting out, grading, and the overall coordination of civils projects. As a Site Agent, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining high-quality standards, safety compliance, and effective stakeholder communication. - Project Oversight: Lead the planning, execution, and supervision of construction activities on site, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Setting Out: Perform accurate setting out and levelling for construction projects to ensure structural integrity and compliance with design specifications.
- Team Coordination: Manage and coordinate on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure seamless operations.
- Site Safety: Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure a safe working environment for all.
- Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, resolve on-site issues, and provide regular status reports to senior management.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all construction work adheres to building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with clients, engineers, architects, and suppliers to align project goals and expectations.
- Resource Management: Manage materials, tools, and equipment efficiently to minimize costs and delays.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in site management, civil engineering, or construction project supervision.
- Proficiency in construction roles such as site setting out, grading, and overseeing civils operations.
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with construction software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Total Stations).
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; confident liaising with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- A valid driver's license and CSCS card .
- Reviewing project plans and drawings to organise site operations.
- Setting out and surveying site dimensions to ensure precision.
- Supervising construction teams, subcontractors, and engineers on-site.
- Monitoring project timelines and addressing scheduling challenges proactively.
- Managing on-site health and safety measures and carrying out risk assessments.
- Conducting regular site meetings to discuss progress and address concerns.
- Ordering and overseeing the delivery of required materials and equipment.
- Resolving any technical or procedural concerns that arise during construction.
- Updating project records, including daily logs, inspections, and progress reports.
