About the roleCustomers come to us because we can take on and solve any kind of challenge, no matter how complex. Join our UKCS - Balfour Beatty Living Places team as a Third Party Claims Handler and you'll help make this happen.What you'll be doing
  • Handling of Highways Claims within
  • Liaising with stakeholders i.e members of the public, client (ESCC), operational teams
  • Investigate claims and establish if liability attaches, and if we have statutory defence under the S58 of the Highways Act 1980
  • Assess value of claims and accurately record reserves.
  • Prepare claims documentation for payment.
  • Document storage and file management
  • Manage data on various systems e.g., Insurance Database LACHS, Confirm, One Network, CRM JADU
  • Working with stakeholders to respond to appeals and complaints.
Who we're looking forEssential
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • IT literate (Word and Excel) data entry
  • Must have experience of handling third party claims in either Public Liability or RTA.
  • Able to use initiative and adapt to change
  • Knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules
  • Good understanding of TCF and GDPR
  • Experience of prioritizing workload and working to deadlines to achieve targets.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of EL/PL protocol and Highways Act
  • CII Qualification
