Our client a leading global media business and one of the biggest creators of social content in the world is looking for a Head of Social Production to lead all aspects of video and content production across their numerous social channels.This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing the full production pipeline - from pre-production and filming, to editing, finishing and delivery - across short-form video, social series, and branded content.The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a team of videographers, editors, producers, and freelancers, ensuring high-quality, platform-native content is always delivered efficiently and at scale. You'll work closely with creative, editorial, commercial and talent teams bringing both operational knowledge and creative understanding to the role.Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the social video production team.
  • Lead all technical and logistical aspects of production.
  • Manage a team of editors, videographers, producers and freelancers.
  • Build and maintain production systems, templates, and file management processes.
  • Work with other teams to understand what's needed from a production perspective.
  • Source and manage third-party production support where needed
  • Monitor output quality and implement improvements in workflow, editing, and technical standards.
  • Liaise with commercial teams on branded production needs - from pre-sale planning to final delivery.
Ideal Experience and Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior video production role, ideally within social, digital or publishing.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end production - including camera, lighting, sound, editing and file delivery.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects etc) and modern editing workflows.
  • Comfortable leading multiple projects and shoots simultaneously - with a calm, solutions-first mindset.
  • Experience producing short-form content for TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and Snapchat.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and external suppliers.
  • A creative eye and understanding of how video drives audience growth on social platforms.
  • Knowledge of branded content production and ability to work alongside commercial teams.
