Description and requirementsSkanska, one of the world's leading project development and construction groups, is an inclusive and responsible business that is helping to build a better society.Skanska has teamed up with National Highways to deliver the A47 road improvement scheme to reduce congestion and improve safety on the A47. As such, we are looking for a Senior Engineering Surveyor to join our infrastructure team. The role will primarily be based on-site, with initial work at our A428 office in St Neots, followed by a transfer to our A47 office in Thurrock.What you'll do:
  • Support the Chief Engineering surveyor and or the Engineering survey manager in co-ordination across all technical work streams
  • Develop the engineering survey teams to meet project needs.
  • Ensure that the project have the appropriate survey control network to fulfil the construction requirements.
  • Setting out the works in accordance with the contract requirements before work is programmed to commence.
What you'll bring to the role:
  • Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying, or ONC/B Tec in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying and previous experience as an Senior Engineering Surveyor
  • Extensive awareness of appropriate survey instruments, software and working methods.
  • Full professional Membership of CICES or equivalent body
  • Commercial acumen
