CarmichaelUK is recruiting for a Site Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering a major package of works on HS2 in Buckinghamshire. This role is ideal for engineers with earthworks experience looking to work on one of the UK’s most prestigious infrastructure projects.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and support junior engineers on-siteLiaise with Sub Agent & Section Foreman to coordinate labour, plant & materialsManage setting-out and engineering controlEnsure compliance with programme, budget, and safety standardsResolve technical issues with the senior team and Sub AgentMonitor subcontractor performance and ensure contract complianceSupport with progress reporting, cost planning & forecastingPromote a "Right First Time" and collaborative team cultureAbout You:HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or similarExperience in structures, highways, earthworks, or drainageStrong setting-out and site supervision backgroundSMSTS or SSSTS, and relevant CSCS card (White/Gold/Black)Full UK driving licence and own transport (site is remote)Working towards or member of ICE desirable
