Are you a Health & Safety professional with experience in a construction or engineering environment? Our public sector client is seeking a highly motivated Health & Safety Advisor to support their Direct Labour Organisation (DLO). This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that has real impact on the safety and wellbeing of workers and the wider community.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct workplace health & safety inspections and audits
  • Develop, deliver, and review H&S training aligned with legislative updates
  • Support risk assessments across various domains including COSHH, DSE, noise, manual handling, and more
  • Monitor and report on compliance using performance indicators and internal systems
  • Investigate incidents, compile reports, and recommend preventative measures
  • Represent the H&S function in meetings and liaise with trade unions
  • Provide day-to-day health & safety advice to staff and management
About You:
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (Level 3) essential
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a construction, engineering, or manufacturing setting
  • Strong working knowledge of current health & safety legislation
  • Confident communicator, able to engage stakeholders at all levels
  • IT proficient (intermediate level)
